Inspecting your lubrication system
Regular inspection of your automatic lubrication system is essential to ensure the longevity and efficiency of your equipment. Here are a few key steps to help you do it yourself.
Daily summary inspection
A brief visual inspection should be carried out daily by the operator:
- Check that there is a fresh grease collar at each lubrication point.
- Check that all hoses and adapters are securely in place and not leaking.
- Check the electronic board to make sure there are no alarms.
- Run a test cycle on the electronic board to check that the pump is operating correctly and that the pressure on the pressure gauge is rising.
Complete seasonal inspection
Autumn and spring are the key seasons for full inspections:
- Fall: For snow removal equipment.
- Spring: For construction and paving equipment
These scheduled inspections will enable you to detect and resolve problems before work begins, ensuring optimum productivity.
Who does the inspection?
1. Recognized workshops:
The inspection can be carried out by a workshop recognized for Allfett system services. This saves you time and ensures that all points are covered. An inspection report is provided for each piece of equipment inspected.

2. Your team:
Time permitting, the inspection can also be carried out by members of your team. Tools are available to guide you through the process. You can download the inspection grid and diagnostic bulletin from our website.
